![]() ![]() Games like Civilization, the more food sources the more efficient everyone is. I've played some games where you get bonuses for having multiple forms of food supplied to the workforce. I'm saying their should be multiple food sources, with different efficiency. I'm not saying it should be more simplistic or that their should be a single food source for everyone. The game would be more simplistic (and I don't consider that a good thing) with a single food source for everyone, don't you think? Wink 'Food rations' are similar for a different part of the universe. And then say something about crawling to the top of the food chain and eating vegatables or some lot.Īs in all the previous games, 'Bofu' is a catchall for the various food types a race or region consumes. TEXANS would bring shotguns to work and be very upset they couldn't get Texmex and steaks. ![]() That would be like moving a Toyota factory from Japan to Texas, and then saying they are only serving Sushi in the dining facility. So you assume they prefer that meal, why would you make them eat TOFU, if they like meat (IE the hindus eating meat analogy.) I'm bringing the space station, I'm not bringing the worker's from Omicron Lyrae as well. the local population in Devries has been eating Food Rations which is meat and bread. I'm bringing space stations from Omicron Lyrae, to Devries. It's a matter of, if you don't feed them what was promised in their contract, they go on strike and quit working.Īctually you just made my point for me. People in different areas/regions have different tastes, and if you promised your workforce you'd feed them the local cuisine, you can't force them to eat some other substitute that they don't like. Second, it's like telling Hindu's that they should all eat delicious beef. Now I assume the reason you need food to produce products is because you have to feed the workers so they can work, right? LordSneazy wrote:Space stations need either Bofu or Food Rations to operate depending upon if you got the construction ship from Albion or OL. You could even make the production efficiency operate differently based upon if the workers are eating Food Rations or the less superior Bofu. Well so far in X Rebirth it pretty much seems it's mostly humans, so feed them WHATEVER! Could Borons, Teladi and other races even eat human food? It's further annoying concept because at least in the X3 there was a legitimate reason. Seriously if your a starving blue collar employee, are you seriously going to sit there and wait until your Bofu shows up to work, or you going to eat some delicious Food Rations. If I bring a construction ship from OL to Devries, why should I have to feed the people Bofu when I have plenty of Food Rations in Devries? Now while I understand storyline wise it exists but I think it's stupid that a space station cannot operate on a either/or plan. Space stations need either Bofu or Food Rations to operate depending upon if you got the construction ship from Albion or OL. ![]()
